Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Rooster, a private messenger and super-app. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Rooster. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your device and your account secure. Because your messages are end-to-end encrypted, the encryption keys live on your approved devices, not on our servers. If you lose your device and your recovery code, we cannot read or restore your messages for you. Keep your recovery code somewhere safe.

Acceptable use

Use Rooster lawfully and with respect for others. You agree not to use it to send spam or malware, to harass, threaten, or abuse people, to share content that is illegal or that you have no right to share, to impersonate others, or to attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service or its security. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of the messages, photos, posts, and files you create. To operate the app you grant us the limited permission needed to store and deliver that content to the people and audiences you choose. You are responsible for what you share, and for having the right to share it.

Assistant and AI features

Rooster includes assistant, research, and automation features powered by AI. Their output can be incomplete or wrong, so check anything important before relying on it. You are responsible for the actions you ask the assistant to take on your behalf.

Availability

We work to keep Rooster running well, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows. We may change, pause, or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which purges your account data and messages from our servers. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We will update this page when the terms change and revise the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
